modo.us.org earns money from advertising links. This page explains exactly how, in plain terms, as required by the Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 CFR Part 255.

The material connection

This site has a paid advertising relationship with the advertiser promoting the Modo Casino platform. When a visitor follows an advertising link from this site and completes a registration, we may receive a commission. That commission is the site’s only source of revenue.

How commercial links are labelled

Every commercial link on this site points to a path beginning with /go/ on our own domain, which forwards to the advertiser. Each one carries the HTML attribute rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", the machine-readable signal that search engines require for paid links, and each opens in a new tab.

Visually, commercial links appear as buttons and are accompanied by a disclosure block placed beside the first call to action on the page, above the fold, not in the footer. On the login and cash out pages, where the surrounding content is guidance rather than promotion, the commercial block is separated from the guidance and headed “Advertisement”.

What it costs you

Nothing. The terms, the welcome offer and the account you receive are identical whether you arrive through a link on this site or type the operator’s address into your browser yourself. Commission is paid by the advertiser out of its own marketing budget.

What commission does not buy

Every one of those statements reduces the number of people who click through, and every one is published anyway because it is true.
