Privacy policy

Effective 30 August 2026. This policy describes what modo.us.org does with information. It is short because the site does very little.

What this site does not collect

modo.us.org has no user accounts, no login, no registration, no comment system, no newsletter signup and no contact form. It asks for no name, no email address, no phone number, no payment details and no identity documents. There is nowhere on this site to enter personal information, which is the most reliable form of data minimisation available.

This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.

Analytics

The site uses privacy-preserving aggregate analytics to count page views and referrers. The measurement in use does not set cookies, does not fingerprint devices and does not build a profile of an individual visitor. It reports totals, not people. No analytics data is sold or shared with advertisers.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, the infrastructure records standard request data including IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, for security, abuse prevention and delivery. These records are held by the hosting provider under its own retention policy and are not used by us to identify individuals.

Advertising links

Links beginning with /go/ forward to an advertiser. That redirect passes through campaign parameters present in the URL you arrived on, which the advertiser uses to attribute the visit. It sets no cookie on our domain.

Once you follow such a link you are on the advertiser’s site and their privacy policy applies, not this one. We have no visibility into what happens there and receive no personal information back from it. See the affiliate disclosure for the commercial relationship behind those links.

Children

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over and its subject matter is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Because the site collects no personal information at all, no such information can exist to be removed, but any concern can be raised at the address below.

Your rights

California residents have rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we hold no personal information tied to an identified visitor. Requests can still be sent to the address below and will be answered.

Changes and contact

Material changes to this policy will be reflected here with a new effective date. Questions and requests: [email protected]. Published by modo.us.org, United States.
